Meet Your Teacher

Ann Velasco

Ann Velasco started teaching piano lessons when she was 14 years old and has loved it ever since! Always passionate about education, she received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Severe Disabilities. After teaching Elementary Special Education in public schools, Ann has returned to piano education, now running a full studio. After teaching piano for over half her life and working with 50+ students, Ann officially opened The Andante Studio in early 2026 and it continues to grow!

When Ann isn’t working, she keeps busy raising her own child with her spouse, spending time with family and friends, traveling, baking, and drinking enough coffee so that she can do it all again!

Ann strives to make all students and their families feel safe and welcome at The Andante Studio. Ann is disability friendly, immigrant friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, and speaks Spanish.
